The Kansas City Comets continue to drag themselves down into a battle for a playoff spot in the MASL season as the league’s regular season races to its conclusion. Kansas City has won just four of their last 11 games and as other teams have picked up the games in hand that KC had, the Comets have started to slide down the table. That continued last night as they fell in Tacoma 9-7 against the Tacoma Stars. The Comets are still semi-comfortably over the playoff line, even though they’re in 5th place, they are eight points clear of 7th place Tacoma, who is tied with the Empire Strykers for the last playoff spot. The Comets don’t have an easy go of it in their final five games though as they play the first place, San Diego Sockers four times in their final five games. The other game is a home game against the second place Baltimore Blast. Things are still in the Comets’ hands, but it’s not an easy run to the end of the season.
Here are the stats and milestones from Friday night.
