This video shows a flyover of Mars’ north pole from the perspective of the ESA Mars Express orbiter on June 14th, 2019. It was captured by the Visual Monitoring Camera (VMC).   The VMC camera was originally built to monitor the deployment of the Beagle 2 lander, but later repurposed for scientific observations and public outreach.   This sequence was assembled from 117 raw images that were calibrated, debayered, sharpened and color processed with a custom pipeline. The images were also interpolated 2x to produce a smoother animation.
