After shaping his own lane as one half of Sparrow & Barbossa, Lausanne’s Bryan Coletta launches his first solo release on Tortuga Records.
Building on a journey that spanned close to a decade, Swiss DJ/producer and label founder Sparrow – formerly one-half of acclaimed duo Sparrow & Barbossa – takes the spotlight solo to close February with ‘Sweet Desire’ featuring Charli on Tortuga Records. After years of crafting some of the scene’s defining Afro house moments and having recently announced this new direction on social media to open the New Year with a wealth of intrigue, the heavily requested single is a first showcase of a vision now entirely his own, bringing a sound that is both personal and expansive.

‘Sweet Desire’ exists in that fleeting moment when you choose yourself – when “tension dissolves, movement takes over, and rhythm becomes freedom”. Delicate percussion and sun-soaked melodies, coupled with Charli’s alluring vocals, create a groove that moves without rushing, a track that is alive, immersive, and fully of its own gravity. Informed by his previous work, he carries the rhythmic and melodic sensibilities of the past into entirely new sonic territory, exploring grooves and harmonics that reveal a natural evolution of his sound. Past collaborations with artists such as Rampa, Josh Milan, and Dele Sosimi, along with crossover projects with Sia and Deadmau5, reflect a versatility and curiosity that now drive his solo voice, with this first offering setting the tone for an exciting new chapter in the year ahead.
