  1. Headline is inaccurate. NASA had previously already announced that the first Artemis landing would be moved to 2028.

The new change is that NASA plans to insert another mission in 2027 and renumber the 2028 landing so that it’s labeled Artemis IV instead of III.

That was predictable because the aliens told them not to come back. /s

They have to do several more test missions & dress rehearsals without landing before they’re ready since they still need to test fly Orion with a lander attached & test the lander. The Apollo program did 10 missions before they finally did a mission where they landed & all of them were test flights or dress rehearsals. The Artemis lunar landing definitely ain’t happening by next year. I assume the landing mission probably won’t happen till at least the early 2030″s if Artemis is allowed to continue.

False. The first lunar landing had already been pushed back to 2028. This just introduces a new Artemis III mission in 2027, to dock Orion with HLS in LEO, Apollo 9 style.
