Proto-Grey aliens

One of my favorite theories about the Greys is that they are humans from a parallel Earth. On this parallel Earth the humans left their planet uninhabitable. They prioritized technology over emotions and eventually they couldn't reproduce due to the build up of toxins from their uninhabitable planet. They hid underground and mutated themselves to better live on this uninhabitable Earth. As a last ditch effort to save their race they tunneled into parallel Earth's to find viable human DNA. This is the abduction phenomenon we are familiar with and through this they've created hybrid children and thus saved themselves from being completely obliterated.

What I want to talk about is I see we're headed down a similar path. Our environment and natural resources are up for sale to the highest bidder and there's even talk about allowing more toxic chemicals into our drinking water. Emotional intelligence is put aside as irrelevant compared to maximizing investors portfolios. I'm sure you can come up with more examples.

I've been seeing politics through this lense and I believe the proto-greys are among us making decision that will eventually lead to that same uninhabitable Earth. It's said, through their intervention that the Greys are trying to keep us from going down a similar path. Hopefully we save ourselves a few thousands of years by avoiding the same fate.

Question: is this a helpful lense to view the world through for you? What if Greys are a cautionary tale? Will we listen? Will we need to burrow into a parallel Earth one thousand years from now? Or has that karmic path been explored and we get to go down an alternative path? One where we don't end up destroying our Earth? I see evidence of that as well.
