UFO reports became noticeably more colorful over time, though earlier decades have smaller sample sizes. The biggest shift seems to be the decrease of gray and the increase of black and white sightings. In fact, the 2020s account for 70% of the white UFO sightings.

Submission statement: the data is from the official National UFO Reporting Center and was enhanced and standardized to make this chart. It is interesting because I don’t think you hear a lot about the colors of UFOs reported and I think it will generate interesting conversation.
What does tier 1 mean? And why is there no grey?
