M42 – Orion Nebula

  1. Some quick integration of the famous nebula, between clouds. I still blow out the core, so I might use even shorter sub frames next time.

    * Canon 600D/T3i (Astro modified)
    * Wiliam Optics Zenithstar Z61 with FLAT61R 0.8x reducer (288mm & f/4.7)
    * Sky-watcher Star Adventurer 2i
    * ZWO ASI 120mm mini
    * William Optics Guidescope 32mm
    * Manfrotto 055 tripod
    * SmallRig 50 V-Mount battery
    * Flat panel
    * ASIAir mini
    * Dew heater

    Acquisition:

    * 149 light frames x 30 seconds (1 h 14min total)
    * ISO 1600
    * Dark, Bias and Flat calibration frames used
    * Bortle 4/5 skies

    Processing:

    * Stacked and processed in Pixinsight
    * Background extraction & Denoise in GraXpert
    * Star removal by Starnet++
