Obama walked back his statement. That’s a fact. He knew EXACTLY what he was saying. He is arguably the best orator we’ve ever had as a president, along with Kennedy.
I believe that Obama intentionally stated what he said, knowing that it would stir Trump into saying SOMETHING.
The most interesting plot point to me is that his “saying something” actually acknowledges this entire thing. Trump would love nothing more than to be the first sitting president to actually begin disclosure.

Firstly, Trump is not a reliable source of anything. Nobody lies more than he does. I would actually be more inclined to believe that they are real based off of the fact that he says he doesn’t belive in them in the video clip you are referencing.
