Not sure what’s with everyone’s weird takes, but that is the same mechanism used with a warrant canary, and it got tripped. That’s the only way you can reveal classified information because you are under at minimum a gag order.

Didn’t people not watch the whole Obama clip? He said they don’t have anything at area 52 and he’s unaware of anything, unless there’s a program they keep from the president(which there probably is).
If the reporter is aware of this then it was a smart question to ask to see if Trump would slip up. Problem is, even if he did, I have a hard time believing anything he says regardless of the context.
