Mullingar has been confirmed as the location for Ireland’s first European Space Agency (ESA) Phi-Lab. Located at the Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR) centre, the lab was officially opened last Friday, 13 February by Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, Peter Burke.
Designed to serve as a national platform for space technology development, the lab will focus on advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence (AI) and Earth observation.
