Experts point to the launch of the Ariane 6.

Experts who analyzed the images said the mysterious light was likely the result of exhaust gases from the Ariane 6 rocket.

The launch took place at the European Space Centre in French Guiana, about three hours before the sightings in South Australia.

The rocket lifted off at 3:15 AM Adelaide time, carrying 32 satellites for the Amazon constellation.

Official statement regarding the launch.

French President Emmanuel Macron tweeted: “Amazon, your order has been delivered.”

He stated that the Ariane 6 took off for the first time with four auxiliary boosters, making it the most powerful European launch vehicle.

According to him, this is a French achievement and a European success, marking new milestones for the space program.

Despite initial speculation and online buzz, experts indicated that the most likely explanation for the mysterious light in the Australian sky is linked to the space launch that occurred hours earlier.
