MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — Satellite ground station and Earth observation service provider Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSat) has purchased at least two satellites and booked a launch in late 2027 to demonstrate a satellite constellation providing lower-latency relay of it customers imagery.
Norway-based KSat said the Hyperion demonstration mission will test the future Hyper constellation, an extension to low Earth orbit if KSat’s global KSatlite network and a response to the growing government demand for low-latency, sovereign orbital infrastructure.
