How realistic that goal is to build a self growing city on moon in less than 10 years ? ig it would take way more time than he’s claiming

Social media got kinda fucked up because it was made by engineers with little input from sociologists. Even if they tried, I doubt spaceX can gather the expertise needed to build a city of any kind.

  2. He is moving the goal posts after promising mars colonies for over a decade. Anyone with reasonable understanding knew this wasn’t achievable in the time frame he mentioned and gullible idiots still bought into it. The moon colonies are also not viable for the same reasons, but even more gullible idiots will keep buying into this nonsense.

At least it’s possible in our lifetime. Mars simply wasn’t.

We have the technology to keep people alive on the moon indefinitely. The main piece that is missing is a self-sustaining purpose.

  4. Back in 2011, he was saying it’d be a decade to get to Mars.

Turns out he’s full of shit. Shocking, I know. Really, people need to stop treating this man as an authority on anything.

  5. His predictions are as accurate as Tesla’s self-driving stack. There’s a reason why it’s no longer marketable.

There are tons of videos on YouTube outlining why even getting to the moon this time will be a magnitude more difficult that the Apollo Program. And they’re not even considering a long term colony!

Robotics will accelerate it. But SpaceX is gonna need to challenge Caterpillar’s & Komatsu’s patent portfolios for autonomous mining & construction. And they’re both hawkish and extremely experienced with fighting “upstarts” like SpaceX.
