A strong second half rally led to the Greenville Lady Comets picking up their seventh win of the season Thursday night at Gillespie.

The final score was 43-38.

Gillespie controlled the first half, leading 17-4 after one quarter and 25-13 at halftime.

The second half was completely different as the Lady Comets outplayed the home team.    They were three points closer after the third quarter, then outscored Gillespie 16-2 in the final frame to win.

Leading scorers for the GHS team were Haylee Clark and Tinley Walker with 14 points apiece.  Walker sank four three-point shots.

Ella Kleiner added nine points.

The Lady Comets are now 3-4 in the South Central Conference.  They host Hillsboro on Monday night and the game will be broadcast on WGEL.
