Leiden Observatory (1633) is the world’s oldest still active university observatory institute. Its 1860 building was modeled after a Russian observatory and has been visited by Leiden professor Albert Einstein. It still houses four working antique telescopes, including a wooden specimen from 1838.

little point installing real hardware there. terrible light pollution and cloud coverage. they likely use remote hardware. For outreach work the historical stuff has its own charm.
