The Greenville Comets took a trip to North Mac Friday night and lost to the Panthers 59-26.
It was a tough offensive night for the Comets as they fell behind 10-0, and trailed by 20 at halftime.
The home team’s lead reached 27 points by the end of the third period. Christian Swalley scored 11 points and Austin Swalley had 10. Both of them totaled five rebounds.
The varsity Comets play at 11 a.m. today (Saturday) in the Pinckneyville Shootout. The opponent will be Fairfield.
In junior varsity action Friday, the Comets rolled to a 66-27 victory.
Four players scored in double figures. Hayden Hediger and Bauer Ackerman recorded 14 points apiece, Ben Seay (see) had 11, and Benjamin Wittig posted 10 points.
