The Carina Nebula (NGC 3372)

  1. After having just moved to New Zealand I decided to take up astrophotography again and I wanted to hit some southern hemisphere targets.  So, here’s a first attempt at the Carina Nebula.    

        

    Integration:    

    SII: 45×300” (3.75 hrs)   

    Ha:  19×300”(1.6 hrs)    

    OIII: 45×300”(3.75 hrs)    

    Total: 9.1 hrs.

    Guide: SVBony 60mm + ZWO asi120mm Mini    

    Imaging: William Optics GTF81 + 0.8 field flattener + ZWO asi1600mm+EFW + 7nm filters    

    Mount: Celestron CGX
