400 Comet hockey wins in 553 games over just 25 years represent so much more than a number—it represents a community and family. The time and effort invested by the St. Albans Skating Association (SASA), Bellows Free Academy, parents, and countless volunteers over the past 30 years are the real reasons we can celebrate this milestone together. The foundation of our program is built on the same high expectations that SASA established in 1967.

There are many people who have helped build our girls’ hockey program to the level it is today. We hesitate to list them all, because the list of those who have left their mark on girls’ hockey in St. Albans is long. We are especially proud of our Comet alumni who continue to provide guidance and support for both current and future players.

The future is bright for our girls’ hockey community because of the shared standards and expectations embraced by everyone involved. From the Young Blades to the seniors at BFA, there is an energy and enthusiasm that is truly contagious. We are fortunate to work with student-athletes who strive to be better on and off the ice every day.

We are also fortunate to live, work, and play in a community that supports and encourages our youth, while providing opportunities for everyone to give back and help make St. Albans a better place. Thank you to the entire St. Albans hockey community for your continued support of girls’ hockey. We look forward to an exciting season ahead!
