COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority, also known as The COMET, is warning riders that bus service could be delayed or temporarily suspended this weekend due to expected severe winter weather.
In a service alert, The COMET said conditions may require delays or suspensions on some routes until the winter weather threat has passed. Officials emphasized that decisions will be based on safety concerns tied to road conditions.
The transit authority advises passengers to plan ahead and monitor announcements closely before traveling during the winter weather event.
Riders are encouraged to stay informed and check for updates as conditions change. The COMET says customers can call 803-255-7118 to receive service updates as they occur.
