UTICA, N.Y. — The Utica Comets will host its second Save of the Day Foundation Sock Toss at the Adirondack Bank Center this Friday at 7 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to bring new socks to the game, which will be donated to local charities.
The sock toss will occur after the Comets score their first goal, according to the team.
During last year’s event, 2,442 pairs of socks were donated.
The socks will be given to charities like Hope House, Rescue Mission and Backyard Hope.
Those unable to attend can drop off socks at the Adirondack Bank Center before Friday’s game.
