This is my latest process of my M33 data. The data is captured with 2 RedCat 51s, each with a ZWO ASI 2600 MC camera. The cameras and scopes are mounted side by side on an AM5n. One camera is an ASI2600 MC Pro with a ZWO Dual Band filter. The other camera is a 2600 Duo that I use for auto guiding. I’m so pleased with the Dual Band Data that I bought a second one so future data sets from this system will all be filtered.

The subframes were 120s for the MC Duo (unfiltered) and 240s for the Pro. I captured sixty from each camera and had about 5 duds, so I ended up with almost 6 hours of data. The mount dithered after every frame. The imaging session was controlled with N.I.N.A. and I use the Synchronization Script to control dithering with the dissimilar exposure times.

The data was processed in PixInsight. I calibrated the data sets separately, then registered and integrated in one go with WBPP so that they were solved and cropped identically. Then I used grey versions of both integrations and combined them into a Synthetic Super Luminance. Then I processed the RGB Pro Dual Band integration for color. I used an awful lot of processes while working on this as I’m finally taking the time to study PixInsight instead of just going with following some influencer’s PixInsight cookbook video. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not just fiddling with settings, I’m using Adam Blocks courses and workflows. My personal workflow just isn’t that efficient yet.

I used MultiScaleGradientCorrection, as well as a lot of SETI Astro scripts as well as BlurX and NoiseX.

I still haven’t figured out Continuum Extraction with the Dual Band filters, so the next version will get that.
