67 Asia is a large asteroid that orbits the Sun in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. It was discovered in 1861 and named Asia both for a figure in Greek myth and because it was the first asteroid discovered from the Asian continent. It takes about 3.8 years to go around the Sun and is roughly 56 km across, much too far from Earth to be considered a threat.
