This was my first ever attempt at the Orion Nebula. I've been wanting to try my hands on astrophotography for a while now but felt like I didnt have the equipment to pull it off. Spotted a few tutorials on yt showing how to capture orion with just a DSLR and a tripod, so I decided to give it a go!
Taken from Bortle 7 with a Nikon D5100 1.6s exposure time × 166 light frames, 6400 iso 10 darks, 10 flats, 20 bias frames Stacked using DSS
I'll be trying again tomorrow to get more lights and calibration frames for a better result.
