U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Boston announced the arrests of six criminal non-citizens in Massachusetts earlier this week, targeting individuals with histories of violent crimes, child sexual abuse, and drug distribution.

The operations underscore ongoing efforts to remove dangerous offenders from communities.The arrests, conducted between December 1 and 3, involved collaboration with local law enforcement and were part of ICE’s broader enforcement priorities.

Below is a summary of the individuals apprehended:

Jorge Garcia-Hernandez, a 32-year-old Cuban national unlawfully present in the U.S. and a habitual offender, was arrested on December 3 in Fall River. His convictions include rape of a child under 16, assault and battery, and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance on school property. Garcia-Hernandez faces deportation proceedings following his release on bail for prior charges.

Kamsoth Pet, a Cambodian national with a violent criminal record, was taken into custody on December 1 in New Bedford. Pet’s convictions encompass rape of a child, two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, resisting arrest, and assault and battery on a police officer. He is currently detained pending immigration hearings.

Milciades Ramirez Ramon, a Dominican national, was arrested on December 1 in Brockton. His criminal history involves possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and armed robbery. Ramirez Ramon, previously deported once, is in ICE custody awaiting removal.

Jorge Alberto Menjivar, a 45-year-old Salvadoran national, was apprehended on December 1 in Lawrence. Menjivar was convicted in Woburn District Court of three counts of aggravated rape of a child and three counts of rape of a child by force, along with intimidation of a witness and assault and battery. He is serving a 12- to 15-year prison sentence but was targeted for immigration enforcement due to his status.

Jesus Galvan-Orozco, a Mexican national, was arrested as part of Operation Patriot on December 1 in Springfield. His charges include distribution of marijuana, operating under the influence (OUI), and unlawful reentry after prior deportation. Galvan-Orozco was sentenced to nine months in federal prison for the reentry violation.

Araujo Eliseu Alves, a Cape Verdean national unlawfully present, was detained on December 2 in Taunton. Alves faces charges of assault with intent to rape in Massachusetts, as well as disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in Rhode Island. He remains in ICE custody and is slated for removal.
