Baby Eagle Nebula (LBN 777)
There are many regions in the Milky Way where what is known as “cosmic dust” or “interstellar dust” is abundant. This dust drifts between the stars in our galaxy and lies relatively close to us, only about 400 light-years away. At times, this dust forms beautiful shapes from our viewpoint on Earth, like this nebula. Astronomers imagined it resembling a small eagle, so they named it the Baby Eagle Nebula
