I've written a short non-fiction book about one of London's strangest mass hysteria events: the Highgate Vampire panic. In the 1970s, hundreds of people (including vampire hunters) swarmed Highgate Cemetery after reports of a "king vampire."
It covers the police reports, the media frenzy, and the feud between the two main investigators.
