People reported seeing a strange light moving across the sky in Maine on Tuesday night. But it wasn’t an extraterrestrial occurrence.
CBS13 Chief Meteorologist Charlie Lopresti looked into it and said it’s likely a rocket fuel dump from the European Space Agency’s Ariane 6.
As the rocket fuel freezes in the cold atmosphere, sunlight reflects off it, causing it to look the way it does.
