Captured by the Hubble Space Telescope, DEM L 190 (also called LMC N49) is the brightest supernova remnant in the Large Magellanic Cloud. The glowing filaments are remnants of a massive star's explosive death. Located about 160,000 light-years away, it appears like a cosmic fireworks display in the constellation Dorado. Absolutely stunning capture! The remnant’s turbulent structure reveals the violent beauty of stellar death frozen across 160,000 light-years of cosmic history.
