His whole thing was “they’re going to lie to you and say aliens are on the way.” Well neither the government nor the military is talking about 3I/Atlas, and the only ones to suggest it *could* be aliens are Avi Loeb (who gives it a 40% chance) and some people in this community.
If 3I/Atlas was what Jeremy was talking about, then “they” kind of forgot to tell the lie. Or talk about it at all.
I like Jeremy (sometimes), but ultimately his statement is meaningless. He gave no timeframe for it, so we can just twist in the wind while he maintains that the lie is still coming. Nevermind that if the whole story is legit, announcing it as he did would likely cause “them” to change plans, thus making Jeremy look like he’s larping. I see no reason for legitimate sources to pre-announce announcements.

* Let everyone get themselves hyped up on speculation & create an atmosphere that seems like you know something others don’t.
* Come out last minute with a statement like “I was actually talking about something else” knowing most people will never see the update but covering your ass.
* Let it blow over, forget about it, then move on to the next hot topic.Â

Would’ve been simple to include that context back in January when the “it’s coming” statement was made, rather than a “the listener should’ve known better” now. Why even wait so long to clarify it, anyway?
