    It’s only a growing problem if you are doing wide angle imagery and is only a problem near sunrise and sunset. Most satellites will be in shadow in the darkest part of the nights.

    Also astrophotographers/astronomers/anyone using a telescope shouldn’t automatically get precedence over all the companies and use cases that satellites have and I find these types of posts incredibly annoying, shortsighted, and acting like not having the transient satellite streaks is a world ending problem. Plus there isn’t a solution. What works for small telescopes breaks for large telescopes and/or imposes extra costs on the satellites. And a given counties laws about satellites mean Jack shit when you aren’t launching/being downlinked into that country and UN resolutions are toothless.

    Edit oh and another thing. You could make this same argument if you happened to live near an airport or under a bunch of busy flight paths. Should we be banning planes and their safety beacons because they ruin astrophotography too?
